A second, critical read — and an honest answer if it needs more than that.
Uma segunda leitura crítica — e uma resposta honesta se precisar de mais do que isso.
For anyone who already has a translation — machine-translated, done in-house, or by a non-specialist — and needs a human quality pass.
Who this is for
- 01 A translation done in-house by a bilingual colleague, needing a professional check.
- 02 Machine-translated content that needs a human pass before it goes out.
- 03 A translation from another provider you’re not fully confident in.
- 04 A near-final document needing one more careful, native-speaker read before publication.
What's included / how it works
This page exists to separate two genuinely different things, because most confusion here comes from the two being sold as one service. Proofreading is a lighter, critical read of a translation a human already did well — grammar, consistency, awkward phrasing, factual slips. MTPE (machine translation post-editing) is a heavier pass on machine-translated output, which typically needs more correction, priced accordingly.
We'll tell you honestly if what you send is closer to a retranslation than a revision — some documents are too far from usable for a proofreading pass to fix responsibly. If that's the case, we'll say so before starting, not bill you for a pass that couldn't have worked.
